This was a 28 Week project to construct a new bespoke science block at Caistor Grammar School on a sloping site with existing services running across the site. This was carried out in a live school environment.
We also upgraded the YEB main substation and approximately 200m of new cable and trenching around the site which is a roman site of note locally. The actual building was a piled solution on ground beams and retaining walls in the substructure then going to traditional brickwork and blockwork, part rendered and a monopitch sarnafil roofing system. Because of the sloping site and its restricted access there was a need for extensive external works for paving and drainage and hand railing.
